Thank you for your access to　our NPO. " Katsura no Ki ". I am Toyokazu Tsuchiya, Representative of this NPO and the Manage of this Home Page. I am 31 in age , married and I have one son. I myself also suffer from desease of epilepsy.

By the strong and long term help of my home doctor, my family as well as of those around me, I could find a good drug fitting me and efficient to suppress and/or improve convulsive symptoms. I could graduate from a college fighting against the desease with this drug. Working at a company on the general affairs and accounting I am continuing the NPO activity struggling with various problems concerned with epilepsy.

Going out with this desease for about 30 years I have recently come to consider that I am making an obstacle competition with the desease. For instance we are obstacled by the social wall in finding employment, getting driver's license and so on, when we are epileptic. People not suffering from this desease are usually free from these obstacles.

Families are usually apt to be anxious about the desease of their children and sometimes it is easily amplified as time goes on. " Are they not picked on because of illness? " . " How to solve the problem? " " How about studying? " " Can they enter the high school and/or college? " " How about employment or marriage? " Indeed parents of epileptic have these common anxieties
.
In the meeting of " Katsura no Ki ", epileptic themselves and their families present experiences of anxiety, worry and troubles, as well as what arrangement they could try to solve them. Indeed each condition will have its own uniqueness and we do not consider our experiences will fit well to the newly presented problems at all, but I believe that exchange of informations based on experiences by parents and related people after serious collisions with the twists and turns on various obstacles, will be useful enough.and bette to start an action. Repeatedly I dare say that any trouble owned by epileptic will become a hard wall difficult to overcome. " Katsura no Ki " was established under the objective to answer problems and to improve our environment by offering wisdom of patients and those around collaboratively.
